Description
The top of the postcard identifies the scene as "Joe Ouilette potato harvest in Caribou, Me. Aroostook County."
The bottom of the postcard identifies the scene as a potato harvest in Limestone. The writing on the bottom is typical of that of Eastern Illustrating & Publishing photo technicians who neatly wrote identifications on glass negatives before the negatives were printed as photo postcards.
Aroostook county was known for its potato production -- growing and shipping potatoes as well as starch production.
