Description
A view of Monticello in Aroostook County in about 1915. At left in the foreground is a lumber operation.
The town, incorporated in 1846, had about 1,300 people in 1910. It is on the north branch of the Meduxnekeag Stream on the New Brunswick border.
The many farms grew potatoes, oats and hay.
