Description
Josiah Pierce, a sophomore at Bowdoin College, in a letter to his parents commented on fights between town youths in Brunswick and students.
He said the "rows" were not started by the Bowdoin students, but were so bad that "a student could not go down to the lower part of the town without being insulted."
