Description
Upper Water Street after the Seaboard factory was demolished. Starting down the slope to the water was the new Staples office building with the Customs Office in one end because the Ferry from Campobello docked nearby. The Staples Company had extensive connections with the early sailing ship era with ownership in several ships. The building, renovated, served as the Regional Medical Center until it burned oin the early 1970s.
