Josiah Pierce (1827-1913) wrote to his father, Josiah Pierce of Gorham, about his journey from Albany to Detroit, on his way to Orion, Michigan, to see his father's brother Daniel and family.
He describes his visit to Niagara Falls, among other attractions.
He is traveling with Charles, probably his cousin Charles Freeman.
