Description
Lubec Trust & Banking Company erected the only brick building on Water Street in 1908. Much later the bank was absorbed by Bar Harbor Banking and Trust Company, eventually moving to Washington Street. The building, with the facade much altered, remains in place as of 2010. The building beyond the bank, across Main Street, was built in 1889 by James McIsaac as a boarding house for sardine factory workers. The timber structure no longer exists.
