Description
Arthur Danis on the right and a friend pose in the coal shed on Factory Island in Saco around 1922.
Arthur Danis was born in Biddeford on May 14, 1892 and died on May 15, 1958. He worked at the Laconia textile mill as a young boy and in the Saco-Lowell Shops as an adult. Workers employed at the Saco-Lowell Shops made textile machinery for the mills.
