Description
This is one of Arthur Moore's ice trucks parked in front of the Row House, Second St. in Hallowell. The Moores harvested ice at the Cascade Pond near Vaughan Woods and the Litchfield Road. The business came to an end a few years after World War II when inexpensive electric refrigerators became available.
