Description
Main Street remained a graded dirt road in this view looking down the hill to the shore of the “Narrows,” Lubec Channel. Campobello Island, New Brunswick, appears on the horizon, with its Mulholland Lighthouse to the left (still in place as of 2010). There is a horse-drawn carraige at the far left end of Main Street. The full height cupola tops the house just this side of Monument Lot (in more recent times home of Tony Arsenault), the one structure still existing as of 2010. Note the roofless bandstand, apparently under construction, which was built in 1910 or 1911.
