Description
A reward check for $1,500 was issued to Everett S. "Shep" Hurd for notifying law enforcement authorities of the presence of the Brady Gang in Bangor. The gang was then apprehended on Central Street on Oct. 12, 1937.
The original check was cut November 24, 1937. This is a photostatic copy requested by Mr. Hurd the following year from the Treasury Department.
