Description
Postcard with two separate pictures of people guarding rescued property on Sunday, April 30, 1911, the day
of the great Bangor fire. In the top photo, a young girl sits in a rocking chair surrounded by household items
including furniture, clocks, dishes and clothing. In the lower photograph, an older man wrapped in a shawl or
blanket guards goods that include a sewing machine, washtub and furniture.
