Description
Capt. Luther Lawrence owned this leather cartridge box. It was worn on his belt. Inside was a tin liner where he kept his cartridges—paper tubes filled with Minié balls (bullets) and black powder. Capt. Luther Lawrence was likely wearing this item when he was killed in battle.
