Description
The Maine Central Railroad station was located just north of the Johnson Shoe Factory and across the tracks from the Hallowell Granite Works. The station saw little passenger traffic because it was located on the grade between Gardiner and Augusta and the Augusta station was only a few miles away.
The station was razed in the late 1960s.
