Description
Bob Richards of Les Diables Rouges of Lewiston-Auburn won the 100- and 220-yard dashes at l'Union American des Raquetteurs annual competition held in Biddeford on March 5, 1927.
Richards, who won on snowless ground, had won both races in 1926 as well.
Franco-American and French Canadian snowshoe clubs held regular competitions and social events as well as national and international competitions. Each club had a unique uniform and color scheme.
