Description
The ferry service which connected Cobscook Bay communities of Lubec, North Lubec, Eastport, and the Canadian Campobello Island moved from sail to steam power in 1882. This boat, the Lubec, is shown here at Mabee’s Wharf in Eastport as passengers disembark. Campobello is visible on the horizon.
