Description
This book was the fourth edition of a navigation guide to the East Coast of the United States that belonged to Captain Daniel Clough. Captain Clough was a sea captain that lived in Blue Hill and piloted vessels out of Blue Hill, including the Magnolia. The book, authored by Captain Lawrence Furlong, gives courses and distances between major harbors, capes, and headlands along the East Coast and also latitudes, longitudes, and a tide table. It was published pursuant to an Act of Congress in Newburyport, Massachusetts and printed by Edmund Blunt in 1804.
