Description
This house at the head of Blue Hill Bay on Water Street was built in 1831 by Thomas Coggin. It was leased and then purchased as the first location for the Blue Hill Memorial Hospital in the early 1920s. It was purchased for the hospital by Mrs. Caroline A. Richards. The building was destroyed by fire in 1929 and was quickly rebuilt.
