Description
This brick building was built by Jeremiah Holt, a shipbuilder, ship owner, and merchant in about 1830. It was known for many years as the "Brick Block." A hotel called the "Pendleton House" opened in the building late in 1880. It has housed many enterprises over the years including a store, post office, auto repair, and boat building business.
