Description
The first South Blue Hill post office was established in 1866. This building served as the post office as well as a store in South Blue Hill by the early 20th century. The postmaster was Benjamin E. Sylvester, who was named postmaster in June 1896. The post office in South Blue Hill was closed in 1923 or 1924 and began operation at a new location in the 1940s.
