Description
This receipt documents that James Hamilton Jr. received $6.45 for boarding and clothing David Webber, a pauper, for the period February 12 to May 21, 1830. Stubbs received 2/6 per week for the service, and was reimbursed $0.62 for buying David Webber a pair of shoes. The receipt is dated May 1830 on the reverse side of the document, and is signed by James Hamilton. The date 1823 is written on the top left of the document, but doesn't seem to have any relationship to either the dates Stubbs provided service or the date he was reimbursed.
