Description
The dedication ceremony for the bridge connecting Lubec, USA with Campobello Island, Canada commenced at 2:30 PM Eastern Daylight time on August 13, 1962. From a raised platform on the Canadian side, Sumner T. Pike, a native of Lubec and former Washington D.C. official. was one of two chairs for the event.. Though lacking in fine detail, the American flag can be discerned (largely blocking the Canadian flag) on the dais.
