Description
Bangor celebtrated the centennial of its settlement on September 30th, 1869. Among the events to commemorate the day was a lengthy procession of dignitaries, which passed by the arch in this photograph. Bearing the motto "Let us Remember our Forefathers 1869 1769," the arch was erected at the corner of Lime and State Streets.
