Description
The Convention National des Raquetteurs, sponsored by Maine snowshoe clubs, was held in Lewiston January 23-25, 1976.
National and international snowshoe conventions, which featured various races and more social events, were held yearly.
The Lewiston-Auburn Clubs sponsoring the convention were Le Montagnard, which was the first snowshoe club in the U.S.; Le Passe Temps, Le Cercle Canadien, Le Jacques Cartier, L'Acme, La Gaite, and Le Cavalier.
