Description
Robert J. Peacock II annotates this photograph, “About 1988 I took over the Peacock Canning plant from my Dad and we packed socks in beer cans, luggage in cod cans, belts in mackerel cans, and watchstraps in sardine cans to make extra work for the employees in off periods. We also did advertising for light bulbs for Sylvania in sardine cans. About 20 people worked on the project for two months at both A. M. Look Canning Co. in Whiting for the round can closing equipment and at the factory in Lubec. It was a fun project for all."
