Description
According to the handwritten caption at the lower margin of the image, this house was lived in by Edgar Steele, an employee of the Elm Hill Farm, which was across Litchfield Road from the dairy tself. This image was taken around 1933. The Elm Hill Farm was also known locally as the Vaughan Farm, since it was owned and run by members of the Vaughan family.
