Description
Bangor's many churches are seen in this stereo image.
In the foreground is the Penobscot County courthouse, and the white building is Norumbega Hall.
In the background, the steeples include those of the First Baptist Church, the twin towers of the Universalist Church, the Pine Street Methodist Church, and the Central Congregational Church.
Across the open space of Center Park is the wooden former Universalist Church, its spire removed and the building converted into a factory.
