Description
One of the oldest standing houses in Hallowell, this house was built by Peter Clark, Jr. in 1793. He was the grandson of Deacon Pease Clark.
Martha Ballard, midwife, noted in her diary:
p. 332. June 3, 1794, I was called by Peter Cleark, Jr., to see his wife who is unwell.
p. 353 June 4, 1796, Mrs. Cleark's illness came on so great that her women were called and she was safe deliverd at 8h evening of a son.
