Description
Eliza J. Knight was a Box Shop Girl in the Dennison Manufacturing Company, Brunswick in 1880. The Dennison Manufacturing Company was the first manufacturer of paper boxes in the United States.
Ms. Knight was born about 1829 in Maine, daughter of Peter Merrill Knight and Sally Buxton. Her father was a shipbuilder, planter, and major in company of the militia. Miss Knight died in April 1909 and is buried in Pine Grove Cemetery, Brunswick.
