Description
Albert C. LeTarte was a life-long resident of the Town of Brunswick, who for 20 years operated a photographic studio on Maine Street. He also served as the official photographer for Bath Iron Works after having retired from the photographic business.
Mr. LeTarte was a prominent citizen, president of the Brunswick Rotary Club, and president of the Brunswick Choral Society. He served oversees during World War I as an ambulance driver in France and belonged to the George T. Files Post, American Legion. Mr. LeTarte was also a member of the St. John's Church and belonged to the Holy Name Society.
In the 1924 Primary Election, Mr. LeTarte was a candidate for nomination as a representative to the Legislature on the Republican ticket.
Albert LeTarte was born in Brunswick, November 26, 1889, the son of Pierre Narcise and Zoe Normand LeTarte. Mr. LeTarte married Claire M. Parent on February 8, 1930 at St. John's Church, Brunswick. He died March 6, 1943 in Brunswick, Maine.
