Description
Dr. Lombard (1835-1920) learned the dental profession in the office of Dr. A.K. Gilmore of Bath. He enlisted in Company A., Third Maine Infantry for service in the Civil War but had a severe attack of measles which caused his discharge from the army on account of disability. Dr. Lombard opened his dental office in Brunswick on October 10, 1861. He practiced continuously until his death in 1920. He was the oldest practicing dentist in the State of Maine and the only surviving charter member of Maine Dental Association at the age of 85 years.
