Description
The view is taken from the bridge from Factory Island to Saco, looking toward Spring's Island. On the right is the Garland Manufacturing Company plant. In the rear is the old bridge from Spring's Island to Saco. At the left of the bridge is the Chapman Laundry building, a three-story frame structure that was then the largest laundry in York County. It stood directly across from the Deering Lumber Plant, and it was badly damaged by fire on March 31, 1912.
