Description
A working waterfront still dominated the Lubec economy in the mid 20th century. Sardine canneries remain ubiquitous, and the smoke left of center appears to emanate from a herring smokehouse. Campobello Island’s Mulholland lighthouse lies to the left; most photographs of Lubec from the island are positioned to place this lighthouse on the right.
