Description
Asa Clay Sr. was an author of The Early Days of Lincoln, a well known book on the history of the area.
He owned a wood mill on Cold Stream in Enfield.
Clay had five children.
His father, Jonathan Clay, died in the Civil War Battle of Petersburg, Virginia, on June 18, 1864.
