Description
Shown here in Lubec around 1905, the Eastern Steamship Company ship the Ransom B. Fuller was built in Bath in 1902. Displacing 2330 tons, the vessel was about 318 feet long with a 40-foot beam. According to the U.S. Navy Heritage Center Directory of American Naval Fighting Ships, during the First World War the Navy chartered the ship for use as barracks in New London, Connecticut from November, 1917 until April, 1918.
