Description
A group of friends dressed in hats belonging to Vaughn Dennett who had returned from a voyage to India in January 1888. Most of the hats and other trophies had been picked up by Vaughn Dennett during the long voyage. Sitting left to right: Vaughn Dennett, Walter Ayer, Henry Roberts, Ed Dearborn, Harry Jose. Standing: Walter Johnson, Walter Bowles, George Leavitt (in pointed cap from the South Seas), Ed Etchells, and Charles Cobb.
