Description
Determining that The Father of the Coast Gaurd should be buried at the Academy in New London, Connecticut, the Coast Guard exhumed the body of Hopley Yeaton from the grave in North Lubec on November 1, 1974. Temporarily interred at West Quoddy Head, his remains were returned to the original gravesite on August 19, 1975 for the ceremony beginning at sea journey to the Academy.
