Description
This is a Testimonial Banquet Program for the the Penobscot Valley Conference Basketball Champions, John Bapst High School, listed as "JB," held at the Penobscot Hotel, on April 8, 1946, at 6:30 P.M.
The menu included Grapefruit-Supreme, Relish, Consomme En Tasse, Roast Stuffed Chicken, Cranberry Sauce, Mashed Potatoes, Green Peas, Heart of Lettuce Salad, French Dressing, Vanilla Ice Cream, Chocolate Sauce, and Coffee.
The "Program" included Brother Patricius, C.F.X. as Toastmaster and speakers John McKernan (Dartmouth), Sports Editor Bangor Daily News, and Nat Crowley, the Basketball Coach. Varsity Letters and Toiurnament Medals were presented by the Reverend Brother Samuel, C.F.X., principal of the Boys' Department. Guest speaker was Norbert X. Dowd, A.B., former teacher-coach at John Bapst. The last item on the program was listed as "Movies" with T.S. Curtis, University of Maine.
