Description
Buried in North Lubec on May 12, 1812, the remains of Hopley Yeaton, Father of the Coast Guard were removed to a permanent resting place on August 23, 1975. This ceremony immediately preceeded interrment at the monument on the grounds of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut.
