Description
This building was the last school to occupy the site at the corner of School Street (running left to right) and Church Street. The previous school building at this location, serving grades one through twelve, burned in 1913 and was replaced by the structure shown here and a separate high school building on Main Street. Grades K-4 were in this school building until the addition on the north end of the present school was finished at the same time as the high school was added to the south end of the building in the fall of 1976.
The Lubec Fire and emergency services occupied this site in 1980 with Town offices attached at the rear.
