Description
A large stock pile of logs awaits processing at Sheridan Mill on the Aroostook River. The booms and ramps are used for managing the logs.
The large piles of logs were built by use of a "donkey engine," a coal-fired steam engine that powered a winch mounted on a barge in the river.
