Description
Officers of the Danish Brotherhood, Lodge #250 Aften Røden (Evening Red), Falmouth. Lodge #250 was chartered March 21, 1905, with a membership of 21 brothers.
Members were mostly farmers from the Falmouth and Cumberland area. Within a year they had built their own meeting hall, with a stage and dance floor on the first floor and dining on the second floor. Lodge #250 was the fourth lodge to be chartered in Maine.
The other lodges were Lodge #112 in Portland (chartered April 30, 1898), Lodge #199 in Rumford Falls (chartered September 16, 1904), and Lodge #201 in Westbrook (chartered November 1, 1904).
