Description
A wrecking crew from Machias began work at 9 a.m. on September 21, 1978 on demolishing the old high school building in Lubec. Chain and cable attached to a front-end loader pulled a beam, door, or window frame, breaking loose a minuscule bit one fragment at a time. This photo was taken by Julie Keene, a member of the last graduating class.
