Description
Anne Longfellow Pierce (1810-1901) and Mary Longfellow Greenleaf (1816-1902), daughters of Zilpah Wadsworth and Stephen Longfellow of Portland, sit together at the family home on Congress Street in Portland.
Anne, widowed since 1835 when her husband, George Washington Pierce died, lived in the house where her mother as well as she and her siblings grew up.
Mary L. Greenleaf was married to merchant James Greenleaf, who died in 1865. She lived in Cambridge, Mass.
