Description
The home of Josiah (1792-1866) and Evelina Lewis Pierce (1795-1870) on Route 113 in Gorham. The people in the doorway and the children by the gate are unidentified.
Josiah Pierce, a native of Baldwin and graduate of Bowdoin College, moved to Gorham where he set up a law practice and was active in community affairs. He served for a time as Probate Court judge for Cumberland County.
