Description
Mary Bellows Hill Pierce (1847-1911) of Portland was married to Lewis Pierce (1832-1915), a lawyer.
She was the daughter of Thomas Hill and Anne Foster Bellows. Her father was president of Harvard College from 1862-1868 and minister at First Parish Church in Portland from 1873 until his death in 1891.
She was Pierce's second wife. His first wife, Emily Hall Willis, died in 1864, leaving three children. Mary Hill Pierce and Lewis Pierce had five children.
