Description
Thomas Lewis Pierce (1877-), a native of Portland, graduated from Bowdoin College in 1898.
During World War I, he served as a lieutenant colonel in the 325th Infantry and earned a Distinguished Service Cross and Croix de Guerre for heroism in action.
He worked as a banker, primarily in Rhode Island.
