Description
Lewis Pierce (1818-1891) of Portland with his son, Thomas Lewis Pierce, at Christmas in 1879.
Lewis Pierce, a lawyer, was married to Mary Bellows Hill Pierce. With his first wife, Emily Willis, Pierce had three children. He and Mary Hill had five children, including Thomas.
Born in 1877, Thomas was an 1898 graduate of Bowdoin College, a decorated soldier in World War I, and a banker, primarily in Rhode Island.
