Description
Katharine Curtis Pierce (1882-1970) of New York was married to Henry Hill Pierce, a native of Portland, who worked as a lawyer in Portland.
She was active in a number of organizations in New York and was a founder and president of the Society of Bowdoin Women. Bowdoin gave her an honorary degree in 1933 for her work with the Society. Her father, husband, brothers-in-law, sons and grandsons attended Bowdoin.
She and her husband retired to Baldwin, the site of the Pierce family home.
