Description
Thomas Harrison Riley and Lydia Elms Sturtevant Riley were the parents of Angeline Sturtevant Riley who, in 1881, married William John Curtis in Brunswick.
The Rileys had also had a son, Thomas.
When the senior Thomas Riley died in 1857, Lydia took the two children, then ages two and newly born, to Boston to live with her parents, Noah and Angeline Sturtevant.
Lydia Sturtevant Riley, a native of Winthrop, died in about 1874.
Angeline went to live with her aunt and then went to school in Augusta and spent much of her time with her cousin, Kate Sturtevant Putnam, on Sturtevant Hill in Winthrop.
Angeline S. Riley married William Curtis of Brunswick in 1880. He became a lawyer in New York.
Thomas H. Riley, Angeline's brother, attended Bowdoin College in the class of 1880 and remained in Brunswick as an insurance agent and banker.
