Description
Albert Ledoux (seated) and an unidentified man "cut sand" circa 1950. They are removing impurities from the sand so that it can be reused in the foundry at Biddeford's Saco-Lowell Shops, which manufactured textile machinery for the Saco and Biddeford textile mills. This picture of the interior workings of the facility was probably taken by the company for business purposes.
